The second drop, a much easier one, came when Marnus Labuschagne edged a delivery straight to Jaiswal at gully, but he fumbled it. Rohit’s frustration was visible, with commentators noting his reaction. The third drop happened at silly point when a Ravindra Jadeja delivery popped up off Pat Cummins’ bat, and Jaiswal missed again.

While Jaiswal’s errors proved costly, commentators like Mike Hussey felt Rohit could have shown more calm and support for the young player instead of reacting harshly.
