Kohli paid a total of Rs 66 crore in taxes, making him the fifth highest among all celebrities and first among athletes.
For comparison, former India captain MS Dhoni paid Rs 38 crore in taxes, while Sachin Tendulkar, 11 years after retiring, contributed Rs 28 crore. Sourav Ganguly, another former captain, paid Rs 23 crore in taxes. Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant also made the list, paying Rs 13 crore and Rs 10 crore, respectively.

Even retired cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly are included in the list, but India's T20 World Cup-winning captain, MS Dhoni, is currently absent from it. Leading the overall celebrity taxpayers is actor Shah Rukh Khan, who paid Rs 92 crore in taxes during the 2023-24 financial year.
