Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru player Chris Gayle joked about his comeback to the franchise as an impact substitute and recalled his old days with RCB. He was present at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to support his team. RCB won the match by 27 runs against the Chennai Super Kings. Despite facing difficulties at the start of the season, they managed to qualify for the playoffs with their brilliant performance.

Chris Gayle, a member of the RCB Hall of Fame, showed his love for the team during the match. He jokingly expressed his emotions to replace an injured player in the team if anything happens like this.

Chris Gayle said, “As you can see, the jersey still fits so if they need an extra man, I can be the impact player. It is good to see the fans. RCB forever, I will forever be an RCB fan.”

Gayle stated that he enjoys being at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as he has very fond memories of this place. He is grateful for the love he has got from the audience and the team. The RCB vs CSK was a very important game and he was very happy to see the team play. He recalls his old days by noticing the new roofs to which he had damaged when he played. According to him, M. Chinnaswamy is the best place to play cricket and fans have played a significant role in his career.

Chris Gayle said, “It is always good to be back where you have fun memories. It is good to see the guys in a very important game. For me, it is very special to be right here at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. One thing I noticed was that the roof, was brand new, I know I have done some damage. I hope someone can put a dent in there and make it entertaining like the Universe boss. I got goosebumps. This is the best place to play cricket, the atmosphere is brilliant and the fans played a big part during my career with RCB.”

At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Gayle has broken and set many records for RCB. In the 2013 IPL, Gayle hit 175* off just 66 deliveries in this venue against the Pune Warriors.
Gayle continues to hold the record for the highest score in the T20 format after over a decade. Thirteen boundaries and seventeen sixes graced his record-breaking knock. 
In the history of the prestigious league, he continues to hold the record for the most maximums hit by a batter in one inning. Gayle talked candidly about how much he enjoyed performing in Chinnaswamy and the thrilling environment the crowd creates.
