IPL 2024: KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka hug it out after the heated argument episode

The 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. LSG lost the match to SRH by 10 wickets. After the humiliating loss,  LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka got into a heated exchange with KL Rahul. Goenka seemed to be very angry with the LSG skipper. According to reports, Rahul received criticism for his batting performance as the team's captain managed just 29 runs off 33 deliveries.

There were speculations that everything was not good between the LSG owner and Rahul. Also many stated that Rahul may quit the team after the IPL 2024. However, everything seems to be fine between Lucknow Super Giants owner Goenka and Rahul as recent reports state that Rahul attended a special dinner at the owner’s house in Delhi amid rumors of a rift between them.

The recent photos that surfaced on the Internet shows both of them hugging each other happily. With this, the rumors about Rahul and Goenka's heated talk and its consequences may very well come to an end.

With all this going on in the LSG camp, team assistant coach Lance Klusener rubbishes all these rumours stating that there’s nothing wrong with a discussion between two cricket lovers. He in a pre-match press conference said, “I see no problem in a robust discussion between two cricket lovers. For us, it is a storm in a teacup. It’s not a big thing for us.” He also confirmed that there are no problems between the two. Claims of a disagreement and KL Rahul's resignation as captain have already been denied by LSG sources.

The recent photos that surfaced on the social media and Klusener’s statement suggests that everything is good inside the LSG camp.
