Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl. It was a memorable game for Yuzvendra Chahal as he showed his class and scripted history by becoming the first spinner to take 350 wickets in T20 cricket.
On the penultimate delivery of the 14th over, Chahal bowled a full-length delivery on the middle stump and Rishabh Pant looked to slog-sweep the delivery into the stand. However, the southpaw failed to connect and Trent Boult took an easy catch at deep backward square leg. With Pant’s wicket, Chahal claimed his 350th scalp in T20 cricket. Unfortunately, he failed to bag any more wickets in the game and ended the match with a spell of 4-0-48-1.
