Sunrisers Hyderabad crossed swords with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 41st match of the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2024 in Hyderabad. Rajat Patidar was in his elements and put up a show with the bat. He went into beast mode in the 11th over and smashed Mayank Markande for four sixes.

On the second ball of the 11th over, Patidar started the onslaught as he tonked Mayank for a six-over long-off. Then in the following delivery, Mayank bowled a straighter line but Patidar smashed the ball brutally over long-on for another maximum. In the fourth ball, Mayank bowled a length delivery outside off but Patidar pulled the ball for a six over deep mid-wicket region. Being hit for three sixes, Mayank bowled a full-length delivery outside off but Patidar lofted the ball over extra cover for a six to make it four maximums in a row.

Patidar knocked the wind out of the SRH bowling line-up and went on to smash a magnificent half-century off just 19 deliveries. However, he failed to make it big as he was dismissed in the next ball. However, Patidar gave much-needed impetus to the Bengaluru innings.

Earlier in the game, RCB won the toss and opted to bat first. Kohli and Faf du Plessis went all the blazing and got Bangalore to a great start. However, RCB lost du Plessis and the incoming Will Jacks in quick time to put the team under pressure. However, Patidar and Kohli joined hands to take RCB out of trouble. Eventually, RCB ended their innings on 206/7.
