IPL 2024: Yashasvi Jaiswal becomes the youngest cricketer to achieve this record in history

Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is finally back to his fiery form after 8 matches of the Indian Premier League 2024. He smashed the second century of his IPL career on Monday night against Mumbai Indians, leading the team to victory over the opposition team following a run of low performances. He made two hundreds against Mumbai Indians yesterday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and scored 104 runs off 60 balls smashing 9 fours and 7 sixes, last year he scored 124 runs off 62 balls. Rajasthan Royals easily defeated Mumbai Indians target of 180 in 18.4 overs.

Jaiswal made his century from 59 balls. It was a much-needed century for him, as the release of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024 is approaching. He needed a few runs to rebuild his confidence because he wasn't playing at his best. His form was a big concern for both Rajasthan Royals and the Indian Cricket Team. But now, he roared back with a tremendous century and broke the record for fun.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has now achieved his goal of becoming the youngest player in IPL history to score a two-century. With this century, the young Rajasthan Royals opener has topped the lists, surpassing players like Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, David Warner, and Virat Kohli. Yashasvi Jaiswal set this extraordinary record at the age of 22 years and 116 days. Last year was Yashasvi Jaiswal's breakthrough IPL season. His amazing ton and other great knocks lighted up the 2023 Indian Premier League. And the following year, right before the ICC T20 World Cup, he scored yet another century to go back to form. 

 He is currently the youngest player in Indian Premier League history to smash two IPL hundreds at the age of just 22.
