April 4, 2024 at 11:07 AMAngkrish Raghuvanshi is a right-handed batsman, born in Delhi. He was India’s highest run scorer in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup in the Caribbean, which India won. Raghuvanshi left Gurgaon at the age of 11 and moved to Mumbai to polish his skills. He assembled 278 runs in the 2022 u-19 World Cup under the captaincy of Yash Dhull.
Raghuvanshi made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as an impact player. He played a magnificent innings for his franchise against the Delhi Capitals on Wednesday, scoring 50 runs from just 25 balls at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag. In this innings, he smashed 4 fours and 3 sixes and took a match from the hands of Delhi Capitals with a 104-run partnership with Sunil Narine. He lost his wicket to Anrich Nortje with 54 runs but till then the damage was done to the DC bowlers. He secure in Kolkata for his base price of INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 mini-auction. Through the help of his innings, KKR made the second-highest score in IPL history on Wednesday. He made a fiery debut for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Angkrish mother said “Angkrish used to sleep with us in the hospitals. Those five years were the most dreadful. He will never leave his baby brother alone. Yes, we have provided him with everything, but the process of Krishan’s treatment made him mentally tough.” His younger brother Krishan, a tennis player, was diagnosed with blood cancer when he was a toddler.
